At Islamify, your privacy is a sacred trust. This document explains in clear detail how we handle your information when you use our mobile application for prayer times, Qibla direction, Holy Quran, Athkar, and other spiritual tools.
Islamify requests location access (both coarse and fine, depending on your choice) to calculate accurate prayer times based on your exact city and to show the precise Qibla direction on a compass. The permission is optional — you may enter a city manually, but location enables automatic adjustment for daylight saving and accurate Fajr/Isha angles based on your regional method (Muslim World League, Umm Al-Qura, etc.).
Zero transmission: The coordinates are processed entirely on-device. We do not possess any server that could receive, log, or store your location. No location history is kept, and the app does not track your movement.
Islamify uses local notifications to remind you of prayer times (Adhan), Qibla direction updates, and daily Athkar (morning/evening). All notifications are generated on your phone without any internet involvement. We do not send push notifications through external services, therefore no push tokens, device IDs, or any identifiers are collected.
🔔 You stay in control: Every notification type can be enabled or disabled independently inside the app settings. Even when permission is granted, Islamify never uses notifications for marketing or third-party promotions — because there are none.
We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information — period. Islamify is intentionally built without any analytics SDKs, crash reporting tools, advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID), or third-party tracking libraries.
All preferences (prayer calculation method, adjustments, theme choice, language, bookmarking verses, last read page of Quran, favorite Athkar) reside exclusively in your device’s internal storage or iCloud (iOS) / auto-backup (Android) if you enable system‑level backups. Islamify itself does not sync data to any cloud.
If you uninstall the app, this data is erased. No residual information remains elsewhere.
Islamify does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Since we collect nothing at all, children can safely use the app without any risk of data exploitation. If you believe a child has provided personal information via some misunderstanding, contact us immediately, and we will verify and delete any such data — though we reiterate that we have no mechanisms to receive or store personal information.
Islamify optionally allows streaming of Quranic recitations from publicly available, third‑party servers (e.g., audio files). When you choose to stream a recitation, your device connects directly to that server — similar to visiting a website. Islamify does not control those servers and cannot see your request. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of the respective recitation provider, although they typically receive only your IP address (standard for any internet connection).
No personal identifiers are added to the request. You may also download recitations offline, which requires no internet connection.
For app distribution, the official stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) may collect standard download metrics. This is governed by their own privacy policies. Islamify itself contains no code that sends data to Apple or Google other than what the operating system automatically includes (e.g., crash logs if you explicitly share them through iOS/Android). We do not use any third‑party frameworks for ads or analytics.
Because no user data is collected, there is no database to hack or leak. All local app data is protected by your device’s built‑in security (sandboxing, encryption at rest if enabled by the OS). Islamify follows best practices: no permissions are misused, and all network requests (if any, for optional downloads) use HTTPS to prevent eavesdropping.

If Islamify updates its practices (for instance, adding a new feature that requires optional connectivity), we will revise this Privacy Policy and update the “last updated” date. Material changes will be highlighted in the app. We encourage you to occasionally review this page. Our commitment to minimal data remains unchanged since the first release.

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we affirm that Islamify does not “sell” personal information (since we have none). We also do not engage in any cross‑context behavioral advertising. Residents of the EEA, UK, and California can be fully assured that their privacy is protected by design.
Islamify is a labour of faith, not a commercial surveillance product. Our goal is to provide a clean, accurate, and private tool for Muslims worldwide. No venture capital, no investor pressure to monetize — therefore no reason to track you. We keep the app sustainable through optional donations (processed via independent platforms that never share your information with us) and direct support.
